I’m buying a parasol. How heavy of a foot do I need in order for the parasol to stand firm?
Rule of thumb is that the bigger the parasol (diameter), the bigger the parasol foot. We also specify the diameter (Ø) of the bar in the catalogue, which is good to know when choosing a parasol foot.

How thick of a cushion should I choose?
The design of the furniture indicates what type of cushion you need (3-piece, 2-piece, separate back and seat cushion, etc.), but generally a 5 cm thick cushion works well with aluminum furniture, 8 cm works best for wood furniture. The wicker furniture has their own cushions.

Cushion and design – what is the difference?
Most people refer to cushion both when talking about upholstery and fabric. We refer to cushion as the frame that is then covered with fabric (what we refer to as the design). In other words, you first choose what cushion you want, and then what design/fabric you want.

Are all covered cushions of the same quality?
No, our fabrics are of different qualities. There are a variety of qualities, including Dralon, Cotton, Polyester, Polyester/Cotton, and Polyester/Acrylic/Cotton.

My cushions are dirty. Can I wash them?
Follow the washing instructions on the cushion. There is a small tag of the same kind as you’ll find on clothing.

What do I do when there are black spots / cracks / resin on my wood furniture?
Wood is a living material that is impacted by the climate. It moves constantly. The more careful you are with your furniture, the nicer it will keep. We offer advice on what you can do under care instructions, but here are some tips:

Black spots
If your furniture has black spots (mainly on the top of tabletops and armrests), this is because of pollutants in the air. The spots can be removed using wood wash. Pollutants have an ability to penetrate deep into the wood. The sooner the spots are removed the better the chance for a good result.

Cracks in the wood
Wood is a living material that absorbs and emits moisture, which can lead to cracks in the surface of the wood. The durability and function of the furniture are not impacted by surface cracks. Protect your furniture from damp and water as much as possible. When not in use, keep your furniture under shelter or use a furniture cover.

Resin
If the furniture is exposed to temperatures above 38ºC, a natural process starts in the wood and resin may seep out of the wood, mainly at the knots. Before the resin hardens, carefully wipe it off using HT Finisher. When the furniture cools down, the resin hardens and you can carefully scrape it off.

Do you have furniture covers for all your furniture?
We have furniture covers for many of our furniture, as well as for parasols and cushions. You’ll find them here. The furniture covers keep damp and water away, but water puddles that remain for a long time, might eventually seep through. Remember not to cover the furniture when it is wet or damp, but wait until it’s dry before covering it up.
Using a furniture cover you can store the furniture outside during the winter, but make sure to keep it well protected from weather and wind. Make sure that no snow or rain accumulates on the furniture, and to leave some space between the cover and the furniture for ventilation.

The fabric has been bleached
Strong sunlight bleaches the fabric over time; this can be noticed on for example the Baden lawn chairs.
